Jammu Police Achieves Major Success in Anti-Drug Operation; 2.548 Kg Ganja-Like Substance Recovered by PS Bahu Fort

In a significant success against drug trafficking, Police Station Bahu Fort, Jammu, achieved another breakthrough in its sustained campaign against narcotics and substance abuse.As part of intensified anti-drug operations, a police team of Police Station Bahu Fort apprehended one accused person, identified as MINTU, and recovered 2.548 kilograms of ganja-like substance from his possession.In this connection, FIR No. 253/2026 has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort under the relevant provisions of law. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the recovered contraband and identify its forward linkages and other persons involved in the illicit drug trade.The successful operation reflects the unwavering commitment of Jammu Police towards curbing the menace of drugs and safeguarding the youth and society from the harmful effects of narcotics. Senior police officers have appreciated the dedicated efforts of the police team involved in the operation and reiterated their resolve to continue strict action against drug peddlers and all those involved in the illicit narcotics trade.Jammu Police appeals to the general public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and share any information related to drug trafficking or substance abuse.
