DC inaugurates Atal Tinkering Lab at Government High School Sira

UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 17: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today inaugurated an Atal Tinkering Lab at Government High School Sira, established under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.
The newly inaugurated Atal Tinkering Lab is aimed at fostering innovation, creativity and scientific temperament among students, providing them with a hands-on learning environment to explore emerging technologies such as robotics, electronics, coding and design thinking. The lab will encourage students to develop problem-solving skills and nurture a spirit of inquiry and innovation from an early age.
While interacting with the students and staff members of the school, the DC emphasized the importance of experiential learning and innovation-driven education in shaping future-ready students. The initiative was appreciated as a significant step towards empowering young minds, particularly in government schools, with access to modern technological resources. The DC informed that the Atal Tinkering Lab at Government High School, Sira, is expected to serve as a hub for innovation and creativity, inspiring students to think critically, experiment boldly and transform ideas into reality.
Officials from the education department, representatives of NHIDCL, school staff and students were present during the inauguration ceremony.
