Jammu, Oct 14: In the ongoing case of Mehraj Malik’s detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA), the High Court has scheduled the next hearing for November 7.
During the proceedings, government advocate Sunil Sethi appeared before the court, while senior lawyer Monica Kohli was also present. The government sought additional time to submit its response, following which the court directed it to file the reply before the next hearing date.
Prominent advocates including Rahul Pant, Sheikh Shakeel, Muzaffar Khan, Zulqarnain, Ankar Singh Kohli, and Joginder Thakur were also in attendance during the hearing.
Meanwhile, in a separate petition, the court has been urged to allow Mehraj Malik to contest the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. The hearing on this plea has been scheduled for October 18.
