ED Conducts Raids in Jammu Over Land Scam

Jammu, Aug 22: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday carried out raids at several locations in Jammu in connection with a multi-crore land scam, officials said.

According to news agencies, ED teams—assisted by local police and CRPF—searched the houses and offices of Revenue officials and others allegedly linked to the case, seizing key documents and digital evidence related to illegal land deals.

The searches follow inputs from investigating agencies pointing to possible money laundering in the scam. Though the exact number of premises raided is not yet clear, officials confirmed that both serving and retired Revenue officers, along with private beneficiaries, were under the scanner.

The ED has not issued a formal statement, but sources said the operation is aimed at tracing the money trail and identifying the main accused.
