In a tragic incident today, an 08-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a speeding car and was declared brought dead at GMC Jammu. A case FIR No.117/2025 U/S 281/106 BNS was promptly registered at Police Station Kanachak.

Acting swiftly and with utmost professionalism, Kanachak Police launched an intensive investigation. By meticulously analyzing CCTV footage and other technical evidence, the accused driver was identified within hours as Ghayas Ahmed Khan S/o Mohd Sadeeq Khan R/o Dargaloon, Balakote, Poonch. The vehicle involved, a car bearing registration number JK12A 0938, has also been seized and is presently lying at Police Station Kanachak.

The swift action by the police not only brought the accused to book in record time but also ensured justice for the bereaved family. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
