Arrangements finalised for I-Day 2025 celebrations in Reasi

REASI, AUGUST 11: A meeting to finalise the arrangements for the Independence Day 2025 celebrations in the district was held under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner Reasi Sukhdev Singh Samyal.
During the meeting, other senior officials, including SSP Paramvir Singh, ADC Rakesh Kumar, CPO Narinder Kumar and other senior officers, were present. It was decided that the chief guest will hoist the National Flag at the General Zorawar Singh Sports Stadium, Reasi, at 8:55 a.m. on AUGUST 15.
The meeting reviewed preparations regarding security, stage decoration, parade and band contingents, drinking water facilities, parking arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, seating arrangements and illumination of government buildings. Nineteen march-past contingents and 10 cultural items will be presented during the celebrations. It was further decided that the full-dress rehearsal will be conducted on AUGUST 13.
The ADDC laid special emphasis on providing timely refreshments and transportation for participating students. He directed the Chief Medical Officer Reasi to ensure deployment of medical staff with an ambulance and fire tenders at the venue. The Information Department was tasked with arranging Shehnai Vadan and installing the public address system for the occasion.
In addition, the ADDC emphasised that all district sectoral officers should illuminate their buildings and ensure a well-coordinated and respectful Independence Day celebration.
