Jammu Police arrests 3 drug peddlers from Bus Stand area; Heroin (Chitta) recovered,Swift car seized .

Continuing its strict action against drug trafficking, Jammu Police arrested three notorious drug peddlers from the Bus Stand area and recovered 11 grams of heroin (chitta) along with a Swift car bearing registration number JK02BJ-0021.

Acting on specific input, a police team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Vikas Dogra apprehended the accused persons identified as:
1. Chirag Atri S/O Ved Atri R/O Chak Jarala, Bishnah, Jammu

2. Vinod Kalotra S/O Joginder Kalotra R/O Chak Jarala, Bishnah

3. Amit Kalotra S/O Pinka Kalotra R/O Chak Jarala, Bishnah

It is pertinent to mention here that Chirag Atri is a hardcore,notorious drug peddler who was previously detained under the PIT NDPS Act by Jammu Police in 2024 and was released recently after completion of the detention period. Despite this, he continued his involvement in illegal drug trafficking. Notably, two properties of Chirag Atri were also attached by Police Station Bishnah in 2024 as part of legal action under the NDPS Act.

A case FIR No. 40/2025 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand and further investigation is underway.

Jammu Police remains committed to its mission of eradicating drug menace from society and urges the public to report any drug-related information to the nearest police station for a safer and drug-free Jammu.
