DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range Reviews Arrangements for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra 2025 in District Jammu, Samba and Kathua.

DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range Reviews Arrangements for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra 2025 in District Jammu, Samba and Kathua.
In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, Sh. Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS) The Deputy lnspector General of Police (DIG) Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range convened a high-level security review for arrangements of Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra-2025. The review included senior officials from Police, and security forces,SHOs of the JSK Range.

  1. During the review check DIG Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS visit the lodgement centres and Langars sites of District Jammu, Samba and Kathua. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among all stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims. He highlighted the need for meticulous planning and execution of security measures to address any potential threats and challenges.
  2. He directed all the officers, special focus given on the security being extended to the pilgrims during enroute, places of stay especially Base Camp, Bhagwati Nagar Jammu and all Lodgement centres and Langer sites. All the officers were exhorted to implement operation third eye in their respective jurisdiction in coordination with other stake-holders for the foolproof security of yatries.
  3. Moreover, all the officers were directed to strengthen all the nakas especially in the border areas as well as in the city during night hours. They were also directed to identify places where more nakas to be established for the security of yatries.
  4. DIG JSK Range stressed the significance of maintaining a high level of vigilance and preparedness throughout the duration of the Yatra. He instructed the officers to conduct regular reviews and mock drills to ensure that all plans are effectively implemented and proper checking of the vehicles plying on the road specially on wee hours and late night, proper checking of the vendors any suspicious activity found should take an immediate necessary action.
  5. During security check of Sh. Amarnath Ji Yatra DIG Sharma instructed the officers to keep proper liaison with all the intelligence agencies (Army/Para Military forces and other Centre agencies) in their respective jurisdiction and share the same on real time basis and established joint nakas for better results.
