DDC Reasi reviews functioning of District Ayush Society, stresses strengthening infrastructure and public outreach

REASI, APRIL 19: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi, Nidhi Malik, who also serves as the Chairperson of the District Ayush Society, convened a comprehensive review meeting to assess the functioning and progress of Ayush-related programs and services in the district.
During the meeting, District Nodal Officer for AYUSH, Kamal Kishore presented a detailed overview of the existing infrastructure and operations of Ayush facilities across Reasi. The review aimed to enhance the delivery of traditional healthcare services and promote holistic wellness among the district’s population.
DDC Reasi directed the Nodal Officer to identify suitable land for establishing Ayush dispensaries in coordination with the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) and Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR). She also called for a review of room availability within the District Hospital for potential use by Ayush services.
DDC Ms. Malik emphasized the need to increase public awareness about yoga sessions to encourage broader participation. She also instructed officials to conduct a joint inspection of the CHC Katra building with the Block Development Officer (BDO) and the contractor to ensure timely completion and functionality of the remaining construction work.
To streamline planning and execution, the DDC directed the Ayush Nodal Officer to formulate a comprehensive action plan for upcoming activities. She stressed the importance of obtaining prior approvals and ensuring inter-departmental coordination for successful implementation. Additionally, she called for the compilation of performance data from Ayush centres to monitor and evaluate their effectiveness.
The review marks a significant step towards strengthening Ayush services in Reasi and ensuring the benefits of traditional healthcare systems reach the grassroots level.
The meeting was attended by the ADC Rakesh Kumar, ACD Pardeep Kumar, CEO, CDPO Reasi and other concerned officers were present.
