𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗜 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗦 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗙𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘, 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗡 𝗩𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗪𝗢 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗗Reasi, April 6, 2025: Continuing its drive against theft-related crimes, Police Station Katra successfully solved an auto-rickshaw theft case reported on April 1, 2025. A complainant, Tilak Raj S/O Charandass R/O Ghordi Ramnagar, District Udhampur, presently residing at Katra, approached the police station and reported that his auto-rickshaw bearing registration number JK14D-6485 had been stolen by unknown culprits during the intervening night of 30th and 31st March 2025.Acting swiftly, a case FIR No. 97/2025 U/S 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) was registered at Police Station Katra, and investigation was promptly initiated.Through sustained efforts and effective investigation, the police team succeeded in recovering the stolen auto-rickshaw. Two accused persons involved in the theft have been arrested in the case. They have been identified as Mohd. Khushal S/O Chandi, R/O Parnote, Tehsil and District Ramban and Rahul Kumar S/O Jagdish Raj, R/O Chakki Bank, Pathankot, Punjab.The arrests and recovery have brought relief to the complainant and reflect the commitment of District Police Reasi towards ensuring safety and security of public property.The entire operation was carried out under the leadership of 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗵𝘆𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮,under the supervision of 𝗦𝗗𝗣𝗢 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗲𝘆, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮, 𝗦𝗵. 𝗩𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.𝗦𝗦𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝗦𝗵. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘃𝗶𝗿 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦, while sharing the details, stated that further investigation is underway to unearth any possible linkages of the accused with other theft cases in Reasi district. He also emphasized that more arrests and recoveries cannot be ruled out as the probe progresses.District Police Reasi remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of the people by taking swift and effective action against crime.
