Groundbreaking Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign Launched by Jammu Police in Roop Nagar area of JanipurJammu, April 4, 2025In a significant effort to combat the growing menace of drug abuse, a high-impact Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign was organized at the JDA complex in Roop Nagar, Jammu. The initiative, led by SDPO Bakshi Nagar Dr. Satish Bhardwaj JKPS, SHO Janipur Inspector Vikram Sharma, Tehsildar North Aman Kumar, and Naib Tehsildar Mishriwala Mohd Saleem, aimed to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle.The campaign, attended by civil society members, residents of Roop Nagar, and representatives from social welfare and medical departments, emphasized the importance of parental responsibility in preventing drug abuse among young people. Parents were advised to monitor their children’s activities, keep a watch on their increasing demand for money, and spend quality time with them.*Key Highlights of the Campaign:*- *Education and Awareness*: The campaign focused on educating the public about the signs and dangers of drug abuse, its harmful effects, and the importance of maintaining a drug-free lifestyle.- *Parental Responsibility*: Parents were made aware of their critical role in preventing drug abuse among young people and were advised on how to monitor their children’s activities and keep them safe.- *Community Engagement*: The campaign encouraged community participation and engagement, with civil society members, residents, and representatives coming together to support the initiative. People from information department also participated who sung Dogri songs about drug awareness and played musical instruments for heeding attention of the participants towards the alarming situation created by drug abuse and way ahead to safe our young generation.This groundbreaking campaign marks a significant step towards creating a drug-free society and promoting a healthy and safe lifestyle among young people.
