PM Modi: Ambedkar’s Vision Continues to Inspire India’s Commitment to Social Justice

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, stating that Ambedkar’s vision continues to inspire the nation’s dedication to achieving social justice.

In a message shared on X, Modi emphasized that Ambedkar’s ideals will play a vital role in accelerating the creation of a self-reliant and developed India.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister, along with President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, gathered in Parliament to honour Ambedkar’s legacy.

Ambedkar, a key architect of the Indian Constitution, is remembered for his tireless fight for the rights of Scheduled Castes. Born in 1891 into a Dalit family, he overcame significant social discrimination to pursue higher education abroad. His experiences shaped him into a passionate advocate for social reform.

He served as India’s first law minister before his death in 1956.
